Sarafu - A Marketplace for Informal Suppliers
Sarafu is an on-demand, mobile-based marketplace for informal suppliers. This marketplace allows merchants to access a large number of producers and distributors and offer goods, either as individual products or part of a suite of products, to their target audience. Customers can order items using the app or via a web portal, while suppliers and distributors are notified with an email once the order is placed.
The marketplace takes away the need to negotiate a price with suppliers, buy the product from a distributor or try to connect with suppliers online. This will allow our customers to get a higher-quality product at a lower price.
Sarafu’s app will become a part of the way customers connect with informal producers and distributors in their local community. Customers can take a peek at a variety of products on our app but also be able to send an inquiry directly to their suppliers, distributors, or wholesalers, including whether they are interested in a specific product.
We will build the marketplace into the core of our business. With the Sarafu marketplace, our customers can order from multiple suppliers or distributors, at prices and quantities they want.
